Our Story
A rich cultural heritage
PM Aged Care is the legacy of hardworking Greek Kytherian pioneers who came to call Brisbane and Queensland home in the early 1900s.
Originally built as a retirement village for the local Greek community in the north of Brisbane, today our business focus is to share this legacy and our high quality care services with everyone.
P M stands for ‘Panaghia Myrtidiotissa’. Pronounced, ‘Pun-ä-yi-ä Mur-tith-yô-tissa’. Literally meaning ‘Virgin Mary of the Myrtle’. ‘Panaghia’ is one of the Eastern Christian Orthodox terms for the Virgin Mary who symbolises the purest form of love and care.
